How to Fix a Broken Powder

I’m sure we’ve all done it, dropped our favorite eyeshadow and watch it smash into pieces. So heartbreaking! Luckily, there is a quick fix that only requires a few products.

What you’ll need:
– The broken powder
– A knife, bobby pin or something sharp
– Rubbing alcohol
– Spoon
– Papertowel (optional)
– Q-tip (optional)

Step 1: Destroy the powder more
This might seem a bit counterproductive, but you need to break the powder up even more, so there are no big chunks. Ideally, you want a loose powder. I used a bobby pin, but a knife would also work.

Step 2: Mix in rubbing alcohol
Mix the rubbing alcohol into the powder until you have sort of a thick, wet mixture.

Step 3: Smooth it out
Use the spoon to press the powder back into shape in the container. You can use a papertowel if you want to keep your spoon clean or have a pattern on the powder.

Step 4: Clean up the edges
Use the Q-Tip to clean up around the edges of the powder if you’d like. I chose not to do this, it’s just a little time consuming!

Step 5: Wait for it to dry, then apply!
Leave the container open overnight while the powder dries, then you can start using your powder as you normally would.
